Job DescriptionCome join our team at Glenwild! We are the number one Golf Course in the State of Utah.We've just renovated our entire dining room and bar areas, so come enjoy our impressive new space, with flexible hours, comprehensive benefits including golf benefits (in the summer), and free lunch and dinner.We are searching for a skilled and talented wine professional to assist in managing the Glenwild Beverage program. Candidates should be well versed in wine service, wine list maintenance, wine knowledge and wine sales. We are looking for someone dynamic, that can create memories and special dining experiences by anticipating needs, exceeding expectations and building relationships with the membership. When not performing our Wine Manager duties, will assist other managers to make sure our operations team is performing to our "best in class" standards.You should be organized, able to think and act quickly and efficiently. Be guest sensitive and possess a sense of timing. Take pride in your personal appearance and provide superior customer service to all of our Members.Duties:

  • Working alongside the Food and Beverage team and our Wine Consultant to foster a growing wine program.
  • Oversee all operational aspects of the wine and bar program under the supervision of the F&B Director and Wine Consultant.
  • Maintain and organize all of the wine inventory.
  • Direct wine sales and service.
  • Must be able to evaluate and make decisions quickly and accurately and work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Provide management presence in all front of house areas in absence of other floor managers.
  • Work with the Executive Chef to manage food and beverage pairings.
  • Ability to pick up all beverage purchases off premise. Valid Utah Driver License required.Qualifications:
    • At least 3 years previous experience in dining room/restaurant and banquet management in a luxury private club, resort or high-end restaurant or experience as a sales representative/manager in the beverage/wine industry.
    • Strong knowledge of the following: Advanced Wine, Spirits and Beer knowledge, Five Star customer service; casual, fine dining and banquet food and beverage service; training skills; and computers (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) - point of sale system experience a plus.
    • Minimum of a Level 2 wine certifications or equivalent knowledge and experience. Regional wine certifications like Italy, France, Germany, Spain are a bonus.
    • Preferred but not necessary Court of Master sommelier program enrollment
    • A minimum of 5 year college degreeGlenwild is a private members club located at Kimball Junction (Park City) just 25 minutes from Salt Lake City.
