Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an GBSD Principal Cyber
Software Test Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah.
The selected candidate will support the Ground Based Strategic
Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program

What You'll Get To Do:
Cyber Systems Test Engineer, as part of a multidisciplinary systems
test engineering effort:
Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment
required for testing and evaluating in a cyber environment.
Cyber Test analyses is performed at all levels of total system
product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test,
installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies
other Cyber tests to be performed.
Develop test procedures that ensure security objectives, protection
needs and concerns, security requirements, and associated
validation methods are met for the entire system;
Identify and assesses through system test the vulnerabilities and
susceptibility to life cycle disruptions, hazards, and threats;
Experience with FMET procedure development and test by manual or
automated processes
Provide security considerations to inform systems test engineering
efforts with the objective to reduce errors, flaws, and weakness
that may constitute security vulnerability leading to unacceptable
asset loss and consequences;
Have fundamental knowledge of Systems Test Engineering practices,
network technologies, system development life-cycles and
methodologies, and insight into information technology
infrastructure management/monitoring and applications;
Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the
performance, reliability, and security of the system including
installing, upgrading, monitoring, problem resolution, and
configuration
Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in
accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined
in the security plan
Provide analysis of the design during development, and integration
for test of security assessments to ensure compliance with National
Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication
(SP) 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DoD RMF Knowledge Service
guidance.
Apply Cyber Security technologies, including COMSEC, COMPUSEC,
EMSEC, and OPSEC, computer systems, digital communications systems,
network protocols, computer architectures, and computer security
penetration tools and techniques for test of the operations of the
system under test
Apply analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or
studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of Cyber
Security implementation on the System under test
Support the continuous assessment of IA Control compliance for the
program
Develop Test procedures that ensure system security requirements
and associated verification methods are met;
Develop test hardware/procedures to ensure security views and
viewpoints of the system architecture and design requirements are
met;
Design a test program/procedures to ensure proactive and reactive
security functions meet the security requirements to control asset
loss and associated loss consequences;
Perform system security analyses in support of decision making,
risk management, and engineering trades;
Demonstrate through evidence-based testing, that security claims
for the system have been satisfied

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule
allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday
to take every other Friday off.

Job Qualifications:
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
5 Years with BS or equivalent education and experience; 3 Years
with Masters; 0 Years with PhD
US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher awarded
within the past 5 years
Experience in a Test Engineering role with responsibilities in the
planning, designing, implementation, testing, and delivery of a
system with Cyber/Information Assurance requirements
Experience with design, implementation, compliance, testing of
cybersecurity controls
Comp TIA Security+ certified
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
CSSLP certifications, e.g., Security+, Network+, Licensed
Penetration Tester (LPT), RMF
Experience with Model Based Engineering (Cameo preferred)
Experience with systems engineering tools (DOORS)
Experience with Communication Systems and ICBMs.
Experience with Communication systems, RF and digital hardware
design and Networking.
