Job Summary
The IT Project Manager possesses a balance between technical project management, leadership, and strategic & business management skillsets. The IT Project Manager is assigned by the IT PMO to lead team(s) to achieve project objectives and meet stakeholders' expectations. The Information Technology Project Manager manages internal and cross-functional technology delivery initiatives for the enterprise, of all sizes and levels of complexity, from start to finish; this position is responsible for all project management activities throughout all phases the IT project life cycle: exploration, planning, development/execution, deployment, and project closure. IT Project Manager is often responsible for managing multiple project teams, with matrixed resources, at the same time; this position is responsible for the output/production of the respective project teams. With a primary focus on meeting project requirements, the IT Project manager must perform project integration activities in a collaborative decision-making environment, involving team members as local domain experts.

Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION/TRAINING

Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical certification from an accredited college or university

EXPERIENCE

Six years of experience managing successful technology delivery projects (medium to large size) using a formal project management life cycle and software development methodology
Experience leading project teams with at least 4 project team members
Experience in dealing with clients and project stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Experience in coaching and developing others, preferably in the area of project management
Must be a safe driver with no more than 4 moving violations in the past 3 years. Cannot have more than 2 violations of driving under the influence of alcohol, any drug, or the combined influence of any alcohol or any drug within the last 10 years.

Experience developing, installing, or managing the installation of onboard bus/rail technology solutions such as radio, transit management, or fare collection systems desired
Experience in acquiring and using external contract resources in IT development projects

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

B.S. in Information Systems
PMI Project Management Professional certification preferred
Proficiency with Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
Business Analysis and/or programming experience in large projects led by project managers in a PMO

Pay Rate: Starting at $83,643.04 annually based on experience
