Insight Global is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to join a financial client of ours in Salt Lake City, UT. This position can sit fully remote. In this role you will be spearheading the development of a new Data Catalog application for internal employees to access all data sources in one application. The ideal candidate will have developed integrations into a Data Catalog using Java code. On this team you will be responsible for coming up with creative solutions and working to implement them into the project. This is a highly skilled team, so you will find your ideas challenged at times by colleagues and leaders but they are looking for an individual that will level up the team by standing behind their solutions and advocating for the improvements being suggested. In addition, there can be loosely defined requirements throughout the project from stakeholders, so you will be responsible for working with stakeholders to redefine them and execute the needs effectively. Minimum Requirements4-8 years of experience writing Java Code (No More than 8 years of experience) Experience in full life cycle development (Code, Test, Deploy) Strong Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases Experience using Git for Version Control Experience using Docker and Kubernetes and deploying in a CI/CD pipeline Experience building REST APIs Strong experience in an Agile environment Desired SkillsStrong experience using SpringBatch Implementation of Data Governance in an enterprise environment Experience working with integrations in a Data Catalog (current catalog - Collibra)o Experience creating structure that defines data flowing into the catalog and storage of data in the catalog using Java Code Working Knowledge of Data Governance Experience working with Data Engineering and Analytics teams Ability to take vague requirements, redefine them and execute effectively Experience building authentication methods within REST using Okta Any Cloud Experience
