Position: Software EngineerLocation: Pleasant Grove, UT$2,500 sign-on bonus offered and relocation provided if needed! This is an opportunity for somebody that wants to really "make their mark" on a world class product from the outset!What you'll do: You'll work on the Engineering team to build, create, and maintain development of our supply chain optimization software and various cloud applications. You'll work on multiple related projects, solve problems requiring creativity and ingenuity, and support the team on back-end and front-end development as needed. With your in-depth knowledge and innovative ideas of software methodologies and excellent programming skills, you will be a vital asset to the team and an important member on our journey of creating the next-generation optimization software. You'll work together with multiple teams to transform Optilogic's software and we can't wait for you to be here!What you'll do: --- Be responsible for coding, designing, developing, and testing of Optilogic's product and cloud based design software while focusing on implementing best practices for reusability--- Build efficient and reusable front-end and back-end systems that drive complex product applications--- Work with data heavy applications, especially using cloud technologies---Organize delivery and deployment (integrating with our Devops infrastructure)--- Work with the team to build tailored apps that incorporate advanced solving technologies like optimization, simulation, and machine learning algorithms--- Resolve sophisticated issues around application performance, reliability, scalability, security, and data integrityWhat you'll need: --- Strong experience building software with TypeScript, Node, Python, and modern client side frameworks (React).--- Experience with cloud technologies like Azure (preferred), AWS, or Google.--- Experience with containerization and Kubernetes technologies preferred--- Experience in Linux and shell scripting--- Experience with relational databases (Postgres)--- Ability to work through different ideas, breaking down requirements for delivering software frequently--- Communication of what to build and ability to work with other developers--- Proficiency with CI/CD concepts and tools--- Ability to create robust user-friendly interfaces from wireframes and user stories--- Ability to review code and assist teams in improving code quality
