Exadata Database Administrator
Technical Skills:

• Responsible for the support of production databases, releases of Oracle, supporting Oracle Applications Suite, time and labor, project costing and project management.
• Installs, upgrades and patches Oracle Exadata databases and Oracle Applications. Writes scripts or JCL and tuning complex SQL code. Analyzes and resolve data issues and troubleshoots problems.
• Designs and implements database security and user access. Responsible for partitioning, materialized views, indexing and parallel execution. Responsible for tuning existing and new databases, including adjusting database parameters, file system tuning and server tuning.
• Recommends changes to database design and code to improve system performance. Participate in and may manage projects. Other duties as assigned. Must have Skills:
  • Design and plan Exadata deployments and configurations
  • Migrate databases onto and off of Exadata x7 and x9
  • Perform platform health checks.
  • Perform periodic patches/updates for both DOMU and system patches.
  • Tune performance of Oracle Databases on Exadata Behavioral Skills:
    • Available on 24 x 7 basis in the event of emergencies and should be contactable after office hours
    • Participates as a team member and fosters teamwork by inter-group coordination within the modules of the project.
    • Effectively collaborates and communicates with the stakeholders and ensure client satisfaction
    • Train and coach members of project groups to ensure effective knowledge management activity. Qualification:
      • Minimum of 10-15 year's of experience
      • Required Skills: Database Servers exp., Exadata Storage Servers, Database machine - Upgrades & Patching, ASM and RAC architecture, GoldenGate, DataGuard etc.
      • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (in Computer Science/ Electrical/ Electronic/ Communication), Full time graduation in any of technical streams
