This position will be located in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrence (GBSD) program.This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.What You'll Get To Do:Principal/Senior Principal Engineer, Software Quality Assurance - The selected candidate will be responsible for one or more software development teams (IPTs) on the GBSD or other SDS programs. Our focus is on ensuring process execution and efficiencies in the development, testing and release of the software deliverables.Roles and Responsibilities:Support individual scrum/sprint teams by attending meetings, creating Jira dashboard tools to help monitor the progress and execution efficiency. Offer suggestions for improvement to software leadership.Create process health, progress and stability metrics when requiredBecome fluent in the use of tools; Jira, Confluence, Jazz, DOORS or others as neededBe a constructive advocate for Mission Assurance and relentlessly articulate our Value Proposition to our stakeholdersEnsure GBSD software is in compliance with industry guidelines and contractual requirements for development of military weapon systems. Maintain a keen focus on employee engagement, teaming and collaboration, process improvement, rework reduction, and continuous improvement.Develops, modifies, applies, and maintains standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures.Conducts software inspection, testing, verification and validation. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.This requisition is a duel level and may be filled at either a Principal level or level Sr. Principal level.Basic Qualifications:Principal Engineer Software Quality:BS Degree with 5 years of Software or Software QA experience, 4 additional years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree or Master's Degree with 3 years of experience.Senior Principal Engineer Software Quality:BS Degree and 9 years of Software or Software QA experience, 4 additional years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree; or Master's Degree with 7 years of experience.Both Principal and Senior Principal Engineer Software Quality:US CitizenshipActive Secret Clearance (within the last 5 years) with ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance and Special Program Access (SAP)Experience in developing and/or implementing Software Quality Assurance plans.Experience in developing and/or using metrics for process health and/or performance monitoringDemonstrated ability prioritizing tasks and/or meeting deadlinesExcellent liaison between local personnel, suppliers, and/or customersExperience in evaluation, tracing, and/or analysis of requirementsThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:Experience in leading a team of Software Quality Assurance and Quality EngineersExperience in Software Quality Assurance ManagementExperience in Missile Systems/Sub-Systems design, construction, or sustainmentExperience in process monitoring, data collection, analysis, and metric reporting for a large program/supplier-base.A current/Active Top Secret clearanceThis position reports to Roy, UT, USA, however, this position can also be worked from Huntsville, AL, AL, USA.Salary Range: $79,700 USD - $119,500 USDSalary Range 2: $98,700 USD - $148,100 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
