to everyone, everywhere. Reporting to the Associate Director,
Engineering - Platform, this engineer will contribute to building
and maintaining the core Ruby on Rails systems that power Spring
Health’s care delivery and internal tools. This role is part of the
Platform and Internal Tools team and plays a critical role in
improving the safety, performance, and scalability of our platform.
Please note that candidates for this position must be based in the
Salt Lake City metro area and be willing to commute 2-3 days a week
when this role transitions to a hybrid schedule in 2026. Were

be Doing: Design and build backend services using Ruby on Rails
with a focus on secure and scalable care delivery systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop features that
improve internal operations and support our mission of accessible
mental health care Contribute to the design of data models that
support evolving business and clinical use cases Implement
automated tests to ensure code reliability and system integrity
Help improve observability and monitoring to maintain system
reliability at scale Participate in code reviews and team
discussions to support high engineering standards and shared
practices Debug and resolve issues efficiently, contributing to
platform stability and maintainability What success looks like in
this role: Consistently deliver backend features and enhancements
on time and aligned with stakeholder needs Maintain strong test
coverage and low defect rates across assigned services Contribute
to ongoing improvements in engineering workflows, tooling, and
documentation Collaborate effectively across teams, providing and
incorporating feedback to strengthen technical outcomes Identify
and propose improvements to existing systems, data models, or
development patterns What you’ll bring: 3–5 years of professional
software development experience Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and
experience writing automated tests with RSpec Experience designing
and maintaining APIs (REST or GraphQL) Familiarity with secure data
handling practices in a healthcare or regulated environment
Comfortable working in Agile teams and navigating changing
priorities Bonus: experience with Docker and AWS Bonus: experience
in revenue or billing systems The target base salary range for this
position is $120,000 - $150,250, and is part of a competitive total
rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual
pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of
factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and
other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay
and compensation programs annually using Radford Global
Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair
