Job Description:
The National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators
(NCCCO) is a nonprofit providing essential services to the
load-handling industry! Since 1995, NCCCO has developed effective
performance testing standards for those working in and around load
handling equipment, including cranes. NCCCO is the national leader
in providing crane operator certification and has been deemed as an
essential service. We are committed to quality, integrity, and
fairness in testing and have issued certifications in all 50
states. NCCCO has offices in Murray, Utah, Fairfax, Virginia and
Palm Harbor, Florida.
NCCCO has an immediate opening for a Paralegal/Coordinator, Program
Integrity position in our Murray, Utah office. This position will
support the Legal Department in the Utah office.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of Corporate Counsel and the General Counsel,
the successful candidate's primary responsibilities include:
Assist and provide a range of legal and administrative support to
resolve routine legal and related issues. The position involves
support for traditional in-house roles such as litigation
management, risk mitigation, corporate issues, and IP
management.
Provide administrative support to in-house counsel while also
assisting attorney in preparing complex documents and tracking
documents.
Create/transcribe records of highly sensitive meetings and
conversations, prepares correspondence, annotates documents and
files, and arranges related appointments, calendars, and
schedules.
Manage policies and procedures for key processes including program
integrity, ethics and discipline matters, administrative appeals,
and requests for testing accommodations.
Provide support as lead staff member assisting two committees
comprised of outside subject matter experts. This position requires
discretion, judgement, tact, and poise, as well as a broad range of
skills relating to the investigation and management of candidate
disciplinary and test integrity matters.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with pending and potential litigation matters
Litigation holds and follow up
Responses to subpoenas
Pending litigation matters
Performance of settlement agreements
Legal projects and related research
Support and coordinate disciplinary & test integrity
matters/investigations
Uses discretion and independent judgement to conduct extensive
fact-gathering interviews related to disciplinary & test integrity
matters
Draft correspondence regarding disciplinary & test integrity
matters, and the violation of operating policies that occur
Draft reports relating to disciplinary & test integrity matters
Provide staff support to applicable appeal committees
Prepare presentations regarding disciplinary & test integrity
matters
Manage internal tracking of disciplinary & test integrity
matters
Support and coordinate applications for testing accommodations
Understand the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other
federal laws regarding testing accommodations
Draft correspondence regarding testing accommodation
applications
Work with outside expert consultants
Prepare presentations regarding testing accommodations
Manage internal tracking of testing accommodations
This position will be required to work in the office. NCCCO is

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Degree or Certification in Paralegal Studies
Bachelor's Degree
3-5 years' experience as a Paralegal. Notary license is a plus.
This position requires the ability occasionally to travel locally,
regionally, and nationally
Regular days/hours of work are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5
p.m.
