The Metropolitan Water District of Salt Lake & Sandy has an exciting opportunity for a Water System Operator in Cottonwood Heights, UT in supporting the mission of providing high quality drinking water to Salt Lake City and Sandy City. Come join our great team!
Responsibilities: Performs duties involved with the operations of two water treatment plants and distribution facilities. Responsible for the operation of water treatment equipment, collecting and testing water samples, analysis of field samples, recording of data and adjusting chemical feed equipment for proper and efficient operation. Rotating shift work including nights, days, weekends and holidays is a requirement.

Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or other related sciences; Associate's Degree with two years of water industry experience; or high school diploma with four years of water industry experience.Preferred Certification: Utah Water Treatment Operator Certification Grade IV
