Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Onboard Test Equipment (OBTE) Lead- Sr. Principal Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will be part of the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program (Minuteman III ICBM replacement) development contract. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force's sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure. What you will get to do: Responsible for leading Element systems engineering (requirements compliance, hardware design development support, and coordinating across AVE). The lead Systems Engineer (SE) will be responsible for leading a small OBTE Systems Engineering team (3-5). They will work with Aerospace Vehicle Equipment (AVE) Systems Engineering to coordinate requirements, design, and verification for developing an On Board Test Equipment product. Other tasks include RVAM development including maturing OBTE Integrated Test Plan (ITP) Annex, developing test plans/procedures from development testing through acceptance/qual. The phases go through flight tests and tech orders. The Lead SE will ensure the OBTE Element architecture is consistent with requirements decomposition to lower levels and informs subsystem level requirements with functional decomposition process derived requirements.
