We celebrate the differences-age, color, physical ability, ethnicity, family or marital status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, language, national origin, race, religion, veteran status, and other characteristics-that make each of us unique.Who You AreAn effective team member with 5-7 years of professional experience leading and/or contributing to the engineering design of multi-faceted ecosystem restoration, flood management and fish passage projects in Northern California.You have led and managed engineering projects of moderate complexity including preparing engineering evaluations, technical reports, specifications, design plans, construction schedules and cost estimates.You are an effective communicator who proactively identifies and contributes constructively to address specific project or team issues to foster teamwork and inclusion.You possess excellent oral and presentation skills and are able to present information understandably and speak persuasively about complex topics to clients, agency staff, teaming partners, other project stakeholders and the general public.You hold a Bachelor's degree or higher, and have a California Professional Engineers license or the ability to obtain one.You are passionate about restoration design and have shared your passion and knowledge with more junior staff through mentoring and direct supervision.----What You Will Do for ESAAs a Restoration Engineer, you will independently prepare and review engineering design plans, specifications, construction schedules, cost estimates and technical reports in support of multi-objective restoration projects in fluvial, estuarine and coastal environments.You will serve as a technical specialist, performing, overseeing and sometimes leading hydrologic, hydraulic and geomorphic modeling and analyses in collaboration with scientists, engineers, landscape architects and other specialists on ecosystem restoration, flood management and fish passage projects.Provide mentorship and support for more junior staff, including reviewing their work for accuracy and providing constructive feedback while working on projects together.You will demonstrate an understanding of project management principles and practices; working collaboratively with clients and interdisciplinary teams to deliver project assignments on time and within budget.
