The Lead Building Renovation Inspector will be responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and performing the general field inspection services to monitor all on-site contractor related activities Essential Responsibilities: Inspection of ongoing and completed work for code compliance and adherence to contract requirements and construction documents. Recommendation to the Client of approval or rejection of materials and workmanship as appropriate. Monitoring of labor and safety requirements. Performing Quality Assurance on all delivered material and equipment and installed work for its compliance with contract documents and approved submittals Assist the project team in field measurements and investigations that may be required to process RFIs and develop change order estimates Analyze and interpret all specifications and blueprints as per contracts and monitor and document all deviations for same to ensure compliance to all procedures and maintain log of daily progress to prepare reports Preparation of complete written inspection reports for every inspection, field memorandum, daily field reports, maintenance of inspection logs and records of defects and/or omissions; and similar activities. By joining Jacobs, you'll commit to supporting and engaging with these teams, as we work to build a company like no other. #biaffederal Here's What You'll Need: 10 years of progressive experience in similar positions as outlined below: Experience supporting Federal projects valued at $50M+ Experience working on Laboratory, medical, and research facilities. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with client and contractor/tradesmen in performance of duties. Experience in construction projects (design-build) with a direct relevancy and correlation to the same level of scope and complexity. Mechanical/electrical systems associated with such facilities. Overall building component systems including Architectural related disciplines. Completion of the OSHA30 course. Ideally, you'll have: Certifications and qualification, such as journeyman level in mechanical/electrical trades, construction management, National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) or The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
