Entry-level position cleaning classrooms and common areas on the
University of Utah campus. Requires lifting 30lbs and climbing a 6'

Sweeps, cleans, mops, scrubs and dusts floors.
Cleans toilets, basins, showers, bathtubs, and scrubs walls;
dusts, cleans and vacuums furniture, fixtures doors and related
furnishings by using appropriate cleaning supplies.
Operates and maintains electric floor machines, snow blowers,
industrial vacuums, carpet shampooing equipment and upholstery
Cleans, refinishes and maintains a variety of floor
Transports custodial supplies and equipment to and from storage
and work areas.

This is an entry-level position. Demonstrated human relation and
effective communication skills are required. Six months of related
experience is preferred.
Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the
essential functions of the job as outlined in the position
Additional Qualifications: Must be able to lift over 30 lbs. and
climb a 6' ladder.
A minimal High School Diploma, GED , or equivalency preferred.
Basic knowledge of computer programs to enter daily time, email,
etc. Basic knowledge of chemicals and cleaning equipment.
All custodial employees will receive a free UTA (Utah Transit
Authority) pass. This includes all UTA Buses and TRAX .
