You will liaise with the healthcare and/or scientific communities to support the market introduction/penetration of the organization's products by providing clinical information, regulatory background, recommended usage and other related information. Partners with external scientific/clinical organizations/individuals to further product application, industry position, and market penetration. Is a recognized external expert in area of specialty. Includes externally-oriented medical/dental professionals that assist with focus on the assessment and development of new technologies and the role of the organization in the field/industry.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers and experts and coordinate collaboration with academic and other outside institutions.
  • Participate in professional associations, standardization consortia, and advocacy organizations.
  • Contribute to strategic planning activities.
  • Evaluate new product proposals, both internal and external and assist in new product development.
  • Develop and deliver educational content directed at both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in development and delivering of marketing content.
  • Anticipate and evaluate market drivers, including regulatory and reimbursement policies as well as changing practice guidelines.

Working Relationships and Contacts:

  • External contacts for this position include physicians, nurses, laboratory directors, researchers, hospital and reference laboratory staff, distributors, government agencies, and professional societies.
  • Internal contacts include marketing, sales, research and development, and regulatory and quality staff, as well as any other functions as required to fulfill job responsibilities.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • PhD with 9+ years' experience in product safety
  • Minimum of 2 years of related clinical diagnostics and 2-7 year's post doctorate experience.
  • Will require frequent domestic and occasional international business travel
