Heber Valley Artisan Cheese is looking for a full-time,
experienced, relationship sales representative to grow our business
by introducing our high quality artisan cheeses to restaurants,
grocery stores, and other food service businesses. Although our
creamery and cheese making facility is in Midway, Utah, your job
will require travel around Utah, and specifically the Wasatch
Front, so living and working out of our Midway office every day is
NOT a requirement.
About Heber Valley Artisan Cheese:
Heber Valley Cheese is an award winning artisan cheese maker,
making cheese from our heard of healthy and happy cows nestled in
the Heber Valley (Midway, UT). Our secret is our premium milk the
perfect base for cheese making produced by our 150 dairy cows.
These happy & healthy "gals" provide the best tasting milk because
of their superior care. The cows are grass-fed and roam free in
mountain-valley pastures with natural springs.
A day in the life as an Outside Sales Representative:
We will be looking for you to single handedly drive the growth
of our sales to the food service industry, and rewarding you
handsomely for your success. You will be working with a small team
that includes the owners, employees, and specifically the account
manager, to fulfil the requests of your customers, but your primary
focus will be acquiring new customers. Your day-to-day activities
will be various and include everything that a relationship sales
rep would expect. You'll be attending and representing our brand at
trade shows, attending different events, dropping by to visit new
prospects, etc. Most of your days will be spent out of the office,
speaking face to face with your prospects and client at their
businesses. You will be required to come to Midway on a regular
basis for training, meetings, etc.
What this job requires:
Let's face it, our cheese and story are special to us, and if
you want be successful at this job you are going to need to have a
passion for farmstead and artisan products. Beyond having passion
for natural food products, you need to have experience, and a track
record of success, in relationship selling. Specifically, we would
prefer someone to have direct food industry knowledge and
experience. Success as our sales rep will be dependent on your
ability to network and build relationships with a variety of
potential buyers including: mom-and-pop shops & cafes, local and
national grocery stores, executive caterers & chefs, and local to
national distributors. You will be tracking your activity in a CRM,
so you should be at least familiar with how they work.
