Northrop Grumman Strategic Deterrent Systems division has a leadership opening for a Senior Manager (S03) to lead the Infrastructure and Deployment Teams (IDT) Systems Engineering Sub-IPT and join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This position would be located in Roy, UT and responsible for all aspects of Systems Engineering on the Infrastructure and Deployment elements. As a member of the Infrastructure and Deployment Integrated Product Team (IPT), the selected candidate will apply advanced technical principles and concepts relative to systems engineering, command and launch, real property Infrastructure, and weapon system deployment. This leadership role will be responsible to work across a multi-disciplined engineering team managing the technical requirements of the GBSD program while ensuring the IDT technical team is adhering to sound systems engineering processes to include subcontractor elements. This role also maintains cognizance and horizontal technical integration across IPT's and supports the responsibilities of the broader Systems Engineering segments and weapon system homeroom.   • Lead the IDT element design, integration and engineering that flows into and across other IPT segments, reporting to the IDT IPT Lead
  • Work collaboratively to manage all elements of systems engineering while utilizing the latest Model-Based Systems Engineering approaches and tools in all activities
  • Responsible for managing a team systems engineers and cost accounts to ensure design process and engineering alignment
  • Approver of all IDT Element SE design products and processes presented at design reviews
  • Proactively interface with other SE organizations to ensure successful interface design and implementation
  • Coordinate requirements development, hardware/software design, verification, and validation activities
  • Review all IDT technical related customer deliverables to ensure technical quality and integrity of data, maintaining the integrity of the overall IDT technical baseline, and interface w/ both internal and external customers.

The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university with 10 years of progressive engineering and management experience. 7 years of experience with a MS. 5 years with a PhD.
  • 3 years of experience with/strong understanding of Systems Engineering (SE) process, including SE experience across multiple levels of integration and experience in MBSE
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance investigated within the last 6 years
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • 3 years of experience leading technical teams in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Weapon System infrastructure (real property/MILCON) requirements and verification or modelling and simulation
  • ICBM experience
  • Active Top Secret clearance is preferred
  • Masters or PhD is preferred.
  • Experience managing cost, schedule and performance of technical statement of work
