At Rio Tinto, it begins with you.We are looking for a Mine Scheduling Engineer to be a key member of the Mine Scheduling and Projects team. The responsibility of this role will be to support the development of short-range mine plans and strategies to maximize value of the Bingham Canyon resource and mitigate business risk.This role is a great opportunity, you will actively work with multiple stakeholders across the value stream to facilitate best practice and develop mine planning skills in production scheduling.In addition to paying competitively and providing great benefits packages, we want you to live the lifestyle that is right for you and your family. We do the work only if it is safe, and we invest to make sure every member of the team has the quality tools they need to do their job.Reporting to the Manager - Mine scheduling and projects, your functions will include:* Utilize mine planning and scheduling tools to create optimal mine designs and schedules.* Evaluate the success of mining plans through effective reconciliation.* Working with the Concentrator schedulers, Ore Body Knowledge and Integrated Operations teams to optimize the Ore delivery and processing strategies.* Work with Geotechnical and Geology personnel to assure safe and optimal mine designs and plans.* Effectively communicate mine plans to several groups at varying level of detail via presentations, written methods and face to face communication.What you will need for this roleTo succeed in this role, you will have:* S.
