This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Mission Defense Team (MDT) in Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.As a Systems Engineer on this team, you will support a team of engineers to define, develop, decompose, analyze, verify, and validate requirements for weapon system. In this role, you will be supporting program leadership and the customer to define and maintain the technical baseline. Ultimately, you will support the program through maturity and milestones to achieve the mission by ensuring teams are aware of the compliance requirements they will need to meet.Candidates should be highly motivated engineers who can work both independently and in team environments.What you'll get to do:The selected candidate will support the Nuclear Surety sub-IPT within MDT in the following areas:Provide systems engineering, integration, and test support to ICBM development and modification programApply the principles of engineering to design components and systems using applicable standards and specificationsParticipate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for mechanical, electrical and integrated systemsPerform requirements analysis, develop source data for requirements, generate test requirements and prepare test reports (Nuclear Surety Evaluations)Evaluate physical security designs/implementations for compliance with DoD mandated requirementsSupport all phases of the systems lifecycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposalMaintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirementsAs a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:Medical, Dental & Vision coverage401kEducational AssistanceLife InsuranceEmployee Assistance Programs & Work/Life SolutionsPaid Time OffHealth & Wellness ResourcesEmployee DiscountsThis position's standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.You'll bring these qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline from an ABET accredited universityUS Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance adjudicated within the last 6 yearsAbility to obtain and maintain special program access within a reasonable timeMinimum of 2 years of engineering experience with a bachelor's in science; 0 Years with MastersThese qualifications would be nice to have:Bachelor's degree in electrical or software disciplineActive DOD Top Secret ClearanceExperience with electrical or software analyses/test; verification of requirementsExperience with Agile DevelopmentExperience with any of the following tools and languages: CORE, DOORs, Rhapsody, Cameo, ModelCenter, MagicDraw, SysMLExperience working with Nuclear Surety Requirements and the Nuclear Certification process (e.g. AFI 63-125, AFMAN 91-118/91-119/31-108, DODM 5210.41, AFI 91-107)Prior experience and working knowledge of the GBSD program#GBSDsystems#GBSDnucsuretySalary Range: $71,100 USD - $106,700 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
