Our genetic tests help provide actionable insights to empower people to make critical and timely healthcare decisions with a focus in women's health, oncology, and mental health. Myriad's technology team builds digital experiences that streamline the entire genetic testing journey for patients and their doctors with the goal of increasing adoption of this next generation of medicine. Tens of thousands of people every single day engage through our platform which includes: outreach and patient identification apps, customer portals for ordering, resulting & counseling, financial access tools, and health intelligence ecosystem. This role will report to the Chief Technology Officer and will lead a team of managers, user experience designers, UX researchers, and visual designers with a mandate to significantly grow the size and scope of the team. This role also serves on the technology leadership team driving overall strategy in collaboration with marketing, product, commercial heads across the company. We are excited about the future and remain committed to advancing the science of personalized medicine as we develop breakthrough products to address unmet medical needs with holistic design and excellence in experience across Myriad. This is a REMOTE - WORK FROM HOME (US only) position with flex-work as an option if you are near a Myriad location in the SF Bay Area, Salt Lake City, or Mason Ohio. WHAT YOU WILL DO

• You'll be responsible for the overall experience, look, feel, and scalable design of Myriad's digital products and seamless customer journey through workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and hi-fi designs
• You will help recruit, build, grow, coach, and mentor a highly skilled organization of UX and visual designers and researchers, including the judicious deployment of resources, spending, and capital
• You will champion high standards, ensure accountability, and apply rigorous processes to strengthen our design vision, advance best practices, and fulfill project objectives
• You will serve as an influential, collaborative, and articulate advocate for UX in contributing to digital strategy, comprehensive customer experience, and product portfolio roadmaps
• Understand our patients and providers through leading and applying research, understanding personas, and be relentless in finding solutions that meet customer needs
• Partner with stakeholders (product, engineering, and business) to develop elegant and practical solutions to the complexities of modern healthcare to realize the promise of precision medicine
• Create an inspired and consistent style: You will be responsible for advancing our design system and guiding to a harmonious and elevated look and feel across our digital products aligned with the overall Myriad brand. You will oversee the team of visual designers who craft and implement UI designs.
• Analyze and recommend new and emerging technologies, design trends, visual patterns, techniques for increasing accessibility & inclusion, and methods for process improvement
