Job Description:
**Schedule: Mon-Fri 5:30am-4:30pm**POSITION SUMMARY: This
salaried leadership position is responsible for the timely,
accurate and efficient processing of work flow through an assigned
area. They will be largely focused on inventory control warehousing
functions within the Retail and DTC distribution environment.
Qualified candidates will need to possess working knowledge of an
automated warehouse system, achieve key process and operational
cost improvements in accordance with established company policies
and procedures and foster a safe team environment.Job Duties:
- Supervise up to 50 associates.
- Achieve continual process improvement. Focus on accuracy,
customer value proposition, order flow/processing schedules,
inventory and expense management.
- Differentiate performance by coaching, training and mentoring
staff in an effort to continuously improve the effectiveness of the
workforce. Utilize recognition and performance management to
reinforce and affect behavior.
- Write and administer annual Associate performance evaluations.
Conduct regular career development and performance
conversations.
- Monitor and track labor productivity and key performance
indicators. Improve performance verses prior year and plan
objectives.
- Eliminate non-value-added activities and inefficiencies. Be
competent in decision making, risk management, and cost
analysis.
- Demonstrate strong judgment skills. (i.e. scheduling,
expediting, planning and coaching.)
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Control/Order Management system
(Manhattan Warehouse Management System). Utilize WCS to eliminate
non-value-added activities and inefficiencies.
- Promote safety leadership by protecting the health and welfare
of the Company's associates.
- Able to lift 70 lbs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.Job Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree with a concentration in a technical discipline
(Industrial Engineering, Logistics or Operations Management)
preferred or 5 plus years of related work experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience in receiving, picking, packing
and shipping warehouse functions within a Retail and DTC.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in distribution
operations.
- Promotes teamwork and works effectively within diversified
teams.
- Proficiency with warehouse and distribution management software
is required. Experience with Manhattan Warehouse Management System
preferred.
- Experience with process improvement and driving change.
- Ability to analyze forecasting and make well-supported
recommendations.
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and
Access.
- Thorough understanding of policies and procedures relative to
customer service.
- Prioritizes customer satisfaction and displays a sense of
urgency when responding to customer concerns.
- Acquires knowledge of functional operations (order flow, 5S,
receiving, warehouse, replenishment and expense management).
- Works at a fast pace in a rapidly changing business
environment.
- Experience in communicating and addressing issues to senior
management.
- Career development and operational understanding will require
Operations Supervisors to move laterally within the distribution
network.
- Continually expand on personal operational and supply chain
knowledge via internal core skills training, professional
affiliations, workshops and industry forums.Cabela's
