Job DescriptionPosition located at Redwood Recycling in Taylorsville, UTRedwood Recycling is a premier metal recycling company servicing the Wasatch Front region. As part of the Metro Group, Inc. family, we are committed to providing quality customer service coupled with integrity. As Utah's premier metal recycling center, our experience is second to none; and over the years we have worked with thousands of customers, from local residents with a few pounds of cans to large companies with truckloads of scrap material. Our Non-Ferrous department is currently seeking an energetic, friendly team member to help our company grow and provide exceptional customer service. Basic Job Duties:

• Greets and helps unload customers
• Identifies and sorts different types of materials
• Must be courteous and patient with employees and customers
• Helps with housekeeping during down times
• Must be willing to fill at other tasks when needed and performing only those jobs on which they have been trained
• Will be out in the different weather conditions
• Responsible for observing and following all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment
• Responsible for timely, understandable, legible and accurate paperwork
• Must be able to quickly and efficiently learn the metal recycling industry
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule of Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm and Saturday from 8am-2pmMinimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to provide quality customer service
  • 1 year of customer service experience required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to pass background check along with drug and alcohol testing
  • Able to work in the heat of the summer and cold of the winter
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Good attendance and punctuality is a must
  • Ability to provide quality customer service
  • Effective written communication skills and ability to complete paperwork promptly
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Understand computer basics Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and work on your feet for extended periods of time
    • The employee occasionally is required to lift up to 80 pounds. The employee is frequently required to use hands, fingers; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel or crouch.Benefits:
