Job description:We are looking for a Full-Time Veterinary Sales Associate that is driven, reliable, and organized, to visit animal hospitals within the Salt Lake & Southern Idaho territories. Road trips to Idaho will be required every other month, lasting from 2 to 5 days. We will train, coach, and mentor you to successfully manage the territory! As a Veterinary Sales Associate, you'll build relationships inside animal hospitals, do presentations, educate hospital teams about the value of insured pets, prospect for new business, and maintain established business.Requirements:Minimum of two years experience working in the veterinary industry Enjoy being on the road, and driving around the territory - vehicle must be reliable with great gas mileage as this job requires a lot of travel, and mileage reimbursement will not change per vehicle, it is a set rate.Outgoing, friendly, and enjoy building relationships with people but ambitious enough to ask for the owner/manager, be persuasive and close the meeting.Enjoy teaching and speaking in front of large groups of peoplePrevious sales experience is a plus (not required) Responsibilities:"Gain the client" using various customer sales methods (business-to-business, cold calling, presentations, etc.)Evaluate customers' needs and build productive long-lasting relationshipsMaintain and expand client database within your assigned territoryGive presentations & teach hospitals how to incorporate Trupanion into their daily workflowCall on 130 - 200+ hospitals a monthTraining:Initial training will be done virtually with Trupanion Headquarters. This training takes place over Zoom for a few hours each day, for five days. There will be ongoing training that will consist of ride-alongs within the area, phone calls, and assisted zoom meetings.Property & Casualty Insurance License will be needed within a month of starting (We will provide the study material, test, and licensing)Compensation:Base + Uncapped Commission pay model (You are paid commission on every pet that enrolls within your zip codes. This is not a direct selling position; you are not to sell directly to pet owners) The harder you work the faster your pay increases. You compensation will constantly grow each month as your enrolled pets increase. There is also the potential for quarterly bonuses! A flat mileage rate is given based on a monthly mileage report. Other travel expenses will be covered. We pay monthly (this is required due to reporting on enrollments)You are applying for a position with the territory owner of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Southern Idaho, Wandering Wags & Whiskers LLC.
