This position leads the technology-based projects to continually streamline and modernize the OGE experience for clients and staff, including UAtlas and related systems, in order to enhance student, scholar, and staff experience as well as encourage retention and alumni engagement. This position liaises with a wide array of university units such as OGE, LA, ISSS, University Information Technology ( UIT), and the English Language Institute ( ELI) to handle student/scholar/faculty processes. As liaison, this position is responsible to increase shared understanding with these units, clarify responsibilities, reduce redundancy or processes, troubleshoot data issues, and increase mutual responsibility among clients. Additionally, this position works with the university wide community to increase communication and collaboration across campus. With support from other IT staff, this position will ensure optimal data integrity and utilization of data to support OGE operations and OGE's strategic vision. ResponsibilitiesThis position oversees the use of data automation and data analysis techniques in order to address regulatory requirements of SEVIS. This position is responsible for identification and implementation of technical solutions to address issues discovered through data analysis and will be in charge of providing upper tier technical support for escalated issues. This position will work with OGE and UIT to monitor and enhance information security and storage, as well as oversee major system features such as checklists, templates, e-forms, standardized and custom reports, batching, and more to support OGE office needs. Manages Terra Dotta. Coordinates application cycles, application process elements, creation of new programs and processes, and other software components. This position works with leadership to ensure that Terra Dotta needs and functionality are considered in decisions, timelines, and prioritization and ensures that the look and feel of software complies with Learning Abroad and OGE branding. This position works to integrates various technology functions and platforms into office operations in consultation with the leadership and consults with users and staff to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.Serves as a member of the OGE leadership team and assists in the development, implementation, and assessment of the OGE mission; fulfills interim roles as needed by DirectorOversees Sunapsis and/or Terra Dotta Database, including ensuring regulatory compliance and data integrity, project implementation and management, in-office training, and system testing.Ensure (build, maintain, troubleshoot, etc.) the Sunapsis and/or Terra Dotta software system to be optimized for services to students, support advisors, and interface with other campus databases.Meets frequently with OGE area leaders (Director, Associate Directors, and Coordinators) to assess and identify areas needing improvement or troubleshooting to increase efficiency and functionality of the system for each departmentManages, designs, and creates secure batching of data from Sunapsis and/or Terra Dotta to SEVIS system, as well as ensures accurate data feeds from the PeopleSoft systemProvides business functional expertise for using Sunapsis and/or Terra Dotta to process student, scholar and department requests for OGE servicesDevelop training methods and materials for OGE staff as well as training for staff/faculty partnering university departmentsAddresses and resolves student, department, and staff technical issuesProvide technical support and back up for the OGE websiteProvide technical support for global programs that include database and software tool utilization.Provide support for the Global U inventory, including integrity of data inputs, software upgrades, and creation of additional features as designed requested by the Executive DirectorDo research and provide assessments on software tools as required.Oversees creation and maintenance of Sunapsis and/or Terra Dotta e-forms, alerts, and checklists to efficiently gather needed information essential to providing IOGE servicesWorks with University partners to develop Sunapsis and/or Terra Dotta web-based services and database technology to enhance I-20 & DS-2019 form processing, communication, procedures, system upgrades, testing, and overall efficiency in OGE advising and processingProvide daily technical and production support, monitor updates and upgrades, identify critical issues, liaising as needed with vendors and OGE staff to ensure complianceWill supervise any additional technical staff that may be neededOversees all tasks related to the efficient and accurate transfer of data from the office of Admission between SEVIS and PeopleSoftOnboard new employees and provide training on the relevant systems and databasesServe on campus committees related to Sunapsis, Terra Dotta or other OGE data issues and serves as point person additional departments (International Admissions and ELI) implementing or integrating Sunapsis and/or Terra Dotta, including managing the overall configurations for the University's use of Sunapsis and/or Terra DottaMonitors best practices in the field to advise on software usage and improvements, coordinates, develops, and executes Terra Dotta training program for all users, creates handouts, quick references, and guides for users, and demonstrates ability to self-train and learn new software as neededThis job description is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications required of employees assigned to the job.
