The Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for building a
sustainable competitive advantage through operations management by
providing leadership, vision, coordination and functional direction
to the company. They will use process improvement methodologies and
techniques to analyze, identify, facilitate and manage continuous
process improvement initiatives. This role will collaborate with
functions internally and externally to increase efficiency and
compliance across the organization. Develop Manufacturing Process
Definition & Improvement focusing on manufacturing operational
improvement and cost savings to improve the organization's
profitability and efficiency

The Continuous Improvement Specialist is a critical role and will
be pivotal in making timely, relevant access to data and
information. This role requires strong organizational, project
management and collaboration skills. The ability to proactively
identify gaps and quickly implement long-term solutions will be key
to the success of this role.
Develop manufacturing vision and Path to excellence while
implements continuous improvement initiatives using various Lean
methodologies and principles (e.g., 5S, Value Stream Mapping (VSM),
Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), Total Productive Maintenance
(TPM), Kaizen, etc.).
Develop strategies and initiatives for operational efficiency
Drives complex, cross-functional processes and productivity
improvement projects for the organization's strategic
objectives
Manage meetings with key internal and cross-functional stakeholders
to develop / deliver annual programs to optimize processes for
increased productivity and quality
Develop and implement improvement methodologies and techniques,
project management structure and progress reporting.
Develop and assess integrated project plans, resource projections,
risk plans, and effectiveness metrics for each initiative
Lead the change management process effectively and efficiently
Communicate project progress/ concerns and actively identifies
issues that potentially affect project completion and identify
potential interventions or solutions to manage the issues
Knowledge of both internal and external business environments,
assesses impact on the process improvement initiatives and assists
in making modification as necessary
Escalate significant issues to management and identify performance
and resource gaps relative to process improvement initiatives,
adoption of best practices, recommend corrective action
Provide expertise in the solution to complex problems during
project management execution
Manage metric reporting and presentations as needed to ensure
alignment with business goals and objectives
Collaborate with management on education, training, and mentoring
of personnel, including trainings on Lean tools
Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization to
meet organizational goals
Maintain current knowledge of, and ensure all work activities are
conducted in compliance with the full range of related internal and
external systems, technology, regulatory requirements and related
policies and procedures
Lead and mentor staff ensuring Operational Excellence standards
(e.g. Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis) are being used for
problem solving (tools and methods) and daily continuous
improvement
