Job Description:

Provides administrative support to senior department personnel.
Plans and coordinates project scheduling, budgeting, and
administrative tasks. Supports the project staff by facilitating
project logistics such as meetings, conference rooms, conference
calls, etc. Hours are 20 - 30 per week depending on department and
candidate agreement. At 30 hours per week, incumbent is eligible
for University of Utah health and retirement benefits, etc. Salary
commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
1. Provides office support such as directing visitors, handling
incoming calls, and processing mail.
2. Assists with department Kronos.
3. Handles purchasing and expense reimbursements for
department.
4. Monitors expenditures to ensure compliance within budget.
5. May assist in the preparation of program materials, forms, and
other correspondence.
6. Schedules department conference rooms and works with other
campus personnel for meeting scheduling.
7. Provides information to students, faculty, staff regarding the
policies and procedures of the department.
8. May assist in development of presentations for the
department.
9. May take meeting minutes and action items during meetings and
performs basic follow-up.
10. Maintains department key inventory.
11. Provides support for faculty and students with travel.
12. Coordinates seminars, workshops, luncheons, and other
meetings.
13. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Six years related experience or equivalency (1 year of college
education is equivalent to 2 years of related work experience).
Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also
required. Bachelor's degree in a related area is preferred.
