Closing Date: 5/15/2023 (or earlier when positions are filled)The Park City Municipal Athletic & Recreation Center (MARC) is looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Summer Aquatics Staff in various positions to include Lifeguards, Deckguards, Assistant Swim Coaches, Swim Instructors, and Private Swim Instructors. There are part-time and full-time options available (see details below for each position), and individuals can request multiple positions, not to exceed a total of 40 hours per week. The following positions are available:DECKGUARDS (Pay Range: $17.00 - $21.00 Hourly): The Deck Guards are the primary lifeguard and next step in line after the Aquatic Director or Assistant Aquatics Director is scheduled and/or left the premises. The Deck Guard is responsible for representing and maintaining the standards of the Recreation Department by ensuring, the safety and quality leisure experience of all swimmers at the PC MARC, as well as scheduling, monitoring and evaluating lifeguards. Our Deck Guards (3) are expected to work no less than 20 hours per week but no more than 40 hours per week. If a Deck Guard works less than 20 hours per week it must be previously arranged. Minimum age requirement is 15. Red Cross Lifeguard certification is required, but can be attained on site with appropriate swimming experience.LIFEGUARDS (Pay Range: $15.00 - $19.00 Hourly): Lifeguards are responsible for maintaining a safe and clean Aquatics facility, as well as execution of daily pool operations. Our Lifeguards are expected to work no less than 15 hours per week but no more than 40 hours per week. If a Lifeguard works less than 15 hours in a week it must be previously arranged. Minimum eligibility for a Lifeguard is 15 years old. Red Cross Lifeguard certification is required, but can be attained on site with appropriate swimming experience.ASSISTANT SWIM COACHES (Pay Range: $15.00 - $19.00 Hourly): Our Assistant Coaches are responsible for assisting the Head Coach in implementing the practice schedule and swim meets. Our Assistant Coaches (Youth Swim Team) are expected to work no less than 5 hours per week during the summer season, but no more than 40 hours per week. If an Assistant Coach works less than 5 hours per week, it must be previously arranged. Minimum age requirement is 14.GROUP SWIM LESSON INSTRUCTORS (Pay Range: $15.00 - $19.00 Hourly): Our Swim Instructors are expected to implement provided lesson plans and to provide appropriate instruction. Swim instructors are expected to work no less than 5 hours per week during the summer season, but no more than 40 hours with their additional positions. If a Swim Instructor works less than 5 hours per week, it must be previously arranged. Minimum age requirement is 14.PRIVATE SWIM LESSON INSTRUCTORS (Pay Range: $30.00 - $38.00 Hourly): Similar to the requirements listed above for Group Swim Instructors, our Private Swim Instructors provide instruction for private swim lessons.
