Job Description:
The Office of Alumni Relations is seeking an event coordinator
with experience in project or event management. This position
provides customer service and support for the Eccles Alumni House
rental program and is a critical member of the Eccles Alumni House
Team. Primary responsibilities include developing client relations,
providing coordination and logistics for Alumni House events prior
to the event and on site during the event and interpreting policies
while advising clients of regulations. The ideal candidate will
demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent customer service,
high-level of organization, and attention to
detail.ResponsibilitiesOversees daily program operations for the
Cleone Peterson Eccles Alumni House and coordinates program
activities.Assists Eccles Alumni House Director with prospective
rental clients and day-of events, including establishing client
needs, site visits, coordinating with vendors and clients, and
responding to rental inquiries. Assists with changes to meeting
space set ups, including moving tables/chairs & equipment as well
as audio visual troubleshooting.Provides outstanding customer
service to visitors to the Eccles Alumni House as the first point
of contact, maintaining a welcoming and positive environment.Works
with the Alumni House Director, Facilities and Custodial to ensure
meeting spaces are set up, operational and clean for incoming
client events.Develops and implements program goals and objectives
for the Eccles Alumni House rental programMonitors program quality,
makes recommendations for improvements.Works with U Alumni
Marketing Director and House Director to implement marketing
strategies for House Rentals.Will occasionally work a varied
schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends -
schedule is dependent on when our meetings and events are
scheduled.Primary point of contact for the event staff team, in the
absence of the Director.Facilitates training, along with the Alumni
House Director, for the event staff team, to ensure successful set
up and execution of events.Completes other special tasks and
projects as needed, including assisting with events hosted by the
Office of Alumni RelationsThis job description is not designed to

related field plus one year directly related experience or
equivalency required (2 years related work experience may be
substituted for 1 year of education). Demonstrated ability to work
independently, analyze and make decisions related to program
content. Strong coordination and organizational skills required to
prioritize conflicting deadlines. Demonstrated human relations and
effective communication skills are also required.Working knowledge
of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel
preferable.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.PreferencesType
