Job Description:

K-1 Accompanist/Music Class Assistant PT: Accompanist for music classes in kindergarten and 1st grade plays the piano for school devotionals in December and January and occasionally during class time. Piano playing is limited. Accompanist duties mostly include assisting the music teacher with opening class activities and facilitating class games. Duties also include assisting children in class with things they may need, walking classes down hallways, and assisting the teacher with any other task that is assigned. Accompanist duties include caring for each child in class and helping them achieve a joyful and positive music experience. Candidates should also be self-motivated, organized, and willing to assist with classroom organization and management. Candidates should have a desire to work in a faith-based atmosphere aligned with the values taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, be professional in appearance and demeanor, and willing and able to uphold the AHS Mission, Honor Code, and Diversity Statement on and off-campus. Position available for the 2023-24 school year.
In addition to the job requirements listed above, please include in your application any interest you have in helping with our AHS extracurricular athletics programs. Please let us know if you have experience as a player or a coach in specific sports. AHS prefers to fill its extracurricular athletics coaching openings with employees (teachers, aides, etc.) who also have skills and interest in coaching athletics.
