Job Description:

The Advisory Board will comprise individuals whose main goal is to enhance the quality of care and services offered by Valley Behavioral Health (Valley) as we pursue certification as a CCBHC (Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic). Valley's goal is to expand the impact of evidence-based treatments for underserved populations in Salt Lake and Tooele Counties. Valley has a team-based model of care that includes psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, nurses, psychologists, independently licensed social workers, case managers, and peer support specialists.

The Advisory Board will consist of people with lived experience, such as former Valley clients, family members of individuals with behavioral health and substance use concerns, and community-based advocates. The Board will meet once a quarter to discuss community needs, proposed changes/additions to services, and ways to improve the care and services provided to clients. • Attend meetings once per quarter
• Provide recommendations on service development, quality improvement initiatives, and activities of the CCBHC
• Share feedback on firsthand experiences with Valley's programs
• Serve in a designated role on the advisory board and assist with tasks as needed
• Work closely with the CCBHC team and other advisory board members to provide feedback to Valley's governing board on a regular basisRequired Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years and older
  • Experience with mental health and/or substance use disorder services
  • Must complete any training required for Advisory Board (Provided)
