Job Description:
DESCRIPTION:A successful candidate for the Disputes and A/R
Specialist position will demonstrate the ability to contribute to
department success by processing disputes in a timely and efficient
manner, while building and maintaining positive customer
relationships. This position may also be required to provide other
AR functions, financial, and administrative support to the
department as needed.Responsible for: Use retail and e-commerce
customer portals to investigate invoice deduction (penalties and
fines) reasons. Collect sufficient documents internally and
externally to be able to successfully dispute invoice deductions.
Data management and analysis in GP and other internal programs.
Ensure data integrity, run reports, and maintain spreadsheets.
Build and maintain a proactive, working relationship with Account
Management, Accounting, Amazon Sales team, and 3PL partners. Work
with Order Management, Accounting, Amazon Sales team, and 3PL to
prioritize, track and close disputes in an efficient manner.
Provide regular updates and feedback and facilitate regular
discussions regarding obstacles / findings / insights into the
disputes process. Track and follow through deductions until closed.
Other AR duties as needed.Qualifications Requirement: A critical
thinker, detailed-oriented, well organized, persistent, be able to
follow an issue through to close. Must be able to meet deadlines
and exhibit a sense of urgency. Exhibit a spirit of strong
ownership, pride, and passion in one's work. History of proposing
solutions for problems Must possess excellent communication skills
- both verbal and written 2+ years of experience in A/R, and
Disputes. Experience working with collections and disputes a plus.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles Advanced
knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working with Great Plains
preferred. Must thrive in a fast-paced environment. Must possess a
high level of professionalism and be able to follow directions.
Ability to read, write, type, and verbally communicate effectively
and professionally with other business departments, guests, and
vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations
and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to sit for 2-4 hours at a time. Must have the ability to
type, reach, manipulate computer and phone systems, handle or feel
objects and must have the ability to use the telephone (both with
verbal and written communication). The employee frequently is
required to use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects and
phones.
