General Description & Duties: The QA Technician will perform various inspection processes depending on contract and customer requirements. The position will require an individual to have adaptability to changing work assignments and environments. The QA Technician will convey audit findings to staff and management, administer corrective actions and document and maintain records within the internal Quality Database System. In conducting quality inspections for aircraft components, the QA Technician will certify airworthiness of components during rework and before final delivery. Candidate Skills & Capabilities: Vendor Audits to AS9100DISO9001:2015, NADCAP standards Vendor audits of aerospace special processing including heat treating, electroplating and non-destructive testing Review of Vendors Manufacturing Plans and Certification Packages for critical Aerospace Components Capable of working with and understanding detailed Aerospace Specifications Provides input to find process problems and non-compliances Conduct Root Cause Analysis and SPC as required Administer Corrective Actions with follow ups to ensure CAR is closed in a timely manner Document audit findings and records within the internal Quality Database System Trains and interprets process procedures/work instructions/quality bulletins with departments being audited; provide input on changes and/or updates to work instructions/procedures Drives special projects (auditing, training, and/or inspecting) and provide reports to management on findings Updates QMS documents when problems are noted or additions needed in conjunction with the Process Technicians. Conduct quality inspection for aircraft components received, during rework and before final delivery. Education & Experience Required: Bachelor---s Degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. OR Associates degree in Engineering related field with strong quality/audit experience 2 years--- experience in Quality Internal and External Audits 2 years--- experience in interpreting and understanding all aspects of QMS documentation 2 years--- experience in an AS9100 or ISO9001 production environment NADCAP experience is a plus Understanding of US Government DCMA functions Other Requirements: Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to participate in a background investigation and able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance Ability to travel if required Key Competencies: Excellent communication skills Positive, pleasant and professional attitude with all levels of staff, customers and government representatives Ability to take Initiative and be pro-active, flexible and open to changing priorities Strong work ethic, high integrity and high motivation for excellence Dependability and reliability Compensation and Benefits ES3 can offer an environment that is enriching, rewarding and competitive in total compensation.
