SUMMARYThe Corporate Specialist Mechanical Engineer is accountable
for the supply of required industrial services (IS) for the Nestle
USA factories and the safe, reliable, efficient operation and
maintenance of the industrial services equipment.Primary industrial
services responsibilities are:--- Be an integral member of the
Process Safety Core Team planning and implementing a Mechanical
Integrity Program--- Implement inspections and enforce industry
standards to mitigate corrosion--- Perform root cause analysis for
mechanical integrity deficiencies or failures and develop plan for
remediation and awareness for all sites--- Identify inspection
companies for sites to use for nondestructive tests--- Involvement
in the optimization of plant operations and maintenance programs---
Develop standards to improve the life of assets--- Lead Fitness for
Service evaluation and assessmentsLearn and gain knowledge and
awareness of the following systems:--- Steam and hot water
generation and distribution, including condensate recovery---
Refrigeration Cooling Tower and Chilled water (and/or other cold
medium) generation and distribution--- Compressed air generation
and distribution--- Wastewater system and treatment--- Project,
system design, trouble shooting and IS maintenance background---
Potable and process water treatment, supply, and distribution
system--- AHU & HVAC system--- Energy & Water efficiency and
resource conservation of utilities--- Gas management system (N2,
CO2, CO...)--- Auditing systems - Ammonia, Carbon Dioxide, Boilers,
Water Systems.....TRAVEL:--- 30 - 70% travel in the US.PRIMARY
RESPONSIBILITIES:--- Ensures knowledge and standards development in
your technical areas of expertise, coordinating with Experts /
Specialists (within and outside Nestle) in line with safety,
product quality and operations objectives.--- Participate in
professional / IS industry activities as required. Review industry
best practices and evaluate application and benefits in the IS
area. Obtain Nestle and external IS certifications as needed.*
Produce, verify or manage IS engineering deliverables for projects
of all sizes: Scopes of Work (SOW's), Request for Quote or Proposal
(RFP/RFQ), IS construction packages (IS layouts and schematics,
etc.).. Equipment Specification and Procurement, and
FAT/Commissioning/Startup Support. Work with engineering designers
to approve 3D models and layout drawings.--- Be accountable for the
safe, reliable and efficient operation of the industrial services
to meet the operation's demand. This includes guidance of the IS
operators and technicians, providing direction, and developing
their capability and performance. IS operation includes ensuring
services are provided in the right quantity and quality, reliably
and efficiently, minimizing cost and environmental impact.---
Ensure that the IS equipment is maintained for safe reliable and
long term operation in a cost effective manner including
appropriate use of planned and predictive maintenance utilizing SAP
AMM and Nestl--'s Maintenance Strategy while minimizing the impact
on production. This includes management of the associated cost
within the maintenance budget.--- Compliance with all federal,
state, local and internal Nestle requirements from design through
operation and maintenance of the IS plant. Ensure all staff are
aware of requirements and their responsibility. Keep updated
documentation of the plant and its compliance including a strong
change management process execution.--- Ensure the efficient
operation of all utility systems minimizing the use of natural
resources, energy, and the impact on the environment. Drive
resource conservation and awareness within the facility in
alignment with Nestle.--- Close coordination with other departments
such as quality, safety, production, finance, human resources, as
well as within engineering (maintenance, stores, automation,
projects) and externally with vendors, contractors and regulatory
bodies. Ensure local and corporate--- Aid the sites in
implementation of digital checks for the industrial services area
using Nestle's web based program (DMO)REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM
EDUCATION LEVEL:--- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or
Process Engineering.--- General Engineering Principles learned in
Engineering School. Ability to use digital tools effectively.
Understanding of industry standards for drawing deliverables, field
support, and details of utility systems (mechanical integrity,
PSM/RMP audits, other utility audits).EXPERIENCE:--- Minimum 0-5
years of engineering experience--- Leadership experience is a
plusSKILLS:--- Good organizational and multitasking skills -
ability to balance and prioritize multiple responsibilities
simultaneously.--- IS systems knowledge.--- Strong interpersonal
skills to be able to work in a collaborative team environment.---
Strong communication and presentation skills.--- High proficiency
in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.--- SAP
knowledge desirable.--- Knowledge on applicable regulations and
standards (OSHA, EPA, ASME, ANSI, PSM/RMP and industry best
practices)--- Experience in the food industry, preferredREQUISITION
