Junior Mechanical Estimator (Salaried): $60,000 - $65,000 per year

Actual pay depends on education, experience, and performance

Position Description

UMC is growing and looking to add an experienced Junior Mechanical Estimator to our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of mechanical estimating or project management experience, or a construction related degree. They must be detail-oriented, organized, driven, motivated and thrive in a team-centered environment. We are looking for an individual who is willing to emulate UMC's Mission, Vision and Core Values. Junior Mechanical Estimator Responsibilities and Duties
Establish and maintain working relationships with clients, vendors and subcontractors
Understand plumbing and HVAC scopes of work
Accurately prepare estimates
Ensure timely completion of estimates
Understand and prepare cost analysis
Communicate effectively with clients and team members
Prepare submittals
Complete detailed handoff meetings to project team

Position Requirements

Junior Mechanical Estimator Qualifications and Skills

2+ years of mechanical estimating or project management experience preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management orotherrelated field
May be enrolled in school for applicable degree
Impeccable attention to detail
Strong communication and writing skills
Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook
Willingness to learn
