Eaton's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS)
division is hiring a Lead Electrical Design Engineer!
The expected annual salary range for this role is $88,499 -
$129,799 a year.

experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business
considerations.
What you'll do:
As a Lead Electrical Design Engineer, you will provide protection
and control design engineering services instrumental to the
completion of turnkey projects for government, commercial,
industrial, and utility customers. You will lead the protection and
control engineering function to create detailed protection design
basis documentation, detailed protection applications and design
packages along with acting as the subject matter expert for the
broader Project Engineering group. You will work with other
business leaders and stakeholders to insure the highest levels of
engineering capability, quality and delivery of both engineering
only and design build contacts.
Skills to produce the following:
--- Equipment Specifications
--- Single line drawings
--- Three-line drawings
--- Schematics
--- Wiring/Interconnection diagrams
--- Conduit/cable plans
--- AC/DC Control power drawings
--- SCADA
--- Relay programming
--- Equipment Testing/Commissioning Procedures
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum of seven (7) years of design experience
Legally authorized to work in the US without company
sponsorship
Must reside within a 50 mile radius of the work location(s) listed
on the posting. No relocation is being offered for this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least ten (10) years of design experience
PE License
Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
Experience with IEC61850 based design
Experience with PLC Systems

Skills:
Position criteria for this role include:
--- Ability to lead low/medium voltage protection designs
generation clients
--- Ability to maintain schedule and budget
--- Ability to work with and mentor other engineers on team
--- Act as subject matter expect for P&C related items on the
Project Engineering team. Typical protection schemes could include
generator multi-function, bus differential, transformer, feeder
protection, etc.
--- Understanding of power system studies including short circuit,
coordination, and arc flash.
--- Develop engineering estimates to develop scope, budget, and
review technical documents
--- Knowledge, understanding, and execution of turnkey projects
--- Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
--- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
--- Working knowledge of NERC/FERC, NESC, NEC, ANSI, NETA, IEEE
--- Submit to periodic drug and background screens for compliance
with customer entrance requirements in order to perform on-site
work
