Sanmina Corporation has facilities strategically located in key regions throughout the world.Job Purpose:In a team based environment; the Production Planner will provide a critical link and work closely with Engineering, Program Management, Purchasing and Manufacturing to adequately support all planning activities in a timely manner.Nature of Duties:Develops, maintains and communicates Weekly production PlanningUnderstands and challenge production process flow capacity and collaborates with the Program Manager, Production Supervisor and Process Engineering to solve bottle necks on the operationActs on order releases action and exception messages from the company system (Oracle).Analyzes sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements.Maintains inventory levels, schedules and availability of selected item, either manufactured or purchased, to meet production schedules. Completes shipping information and delivery date input during sale order reviews.Orders floor stock needed for production plan executionReviews work in process material sweeps from production floor.Receives and reviews sales orders against current requirements and work in process using the material requirement planning report.Works with procurement on production material, floor stock items and all purchases to support the business unit.Interfaces with manufacturing personnel, the purchasing department and supervisors on material status and production planning issues.Education and Experience:Bachelors DegreeMinimum of 5 years experience in a Production Planning/Production Control role in electronics operation environmentExperience in repair/after market services preferredMicrosoft Excel proficiency is a must. (Macros, Pivot Tables, Charts, etc)Oracle MRP experience preferredMust have good Problem Solving/Analysis skillsMust have a good understanding of process flowMust have good written and verbal communication skillsMust be a team player and work well in a team environmentMust be available to work after hours when needed.This is an ITAR Facility.
