There are dozens of integrated systems necessary to keep Army National Guard aircraft safely in flight. As a National Guard AH-64D Armament/Electrical/Avionics Systems Repairer, you will make sure these systems operate at peak performance.
Through training and practice, you will learn how to repair and maintain the armament, electrical, and avionics systems and components of the AH-64D "Apache" Attack Helicopter. Specific duties may include: diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing armament, electrical and avionics systems and components; performing maintenance, modifications, and alignment on weapons components, fire control units, and sighting elements; performing operational and preventive checks on aircraft flight controls, stabilization systems, avionics, and controlled cryptographic equipment; troubleshooting equipment wiring harnesses; testing, troubleshooting, and repairing diagnostic equipment; and maintaining documentation and maintenance records.
The skills you learn as an AH-64D Armament/Electrical/Avionics Systems Repairer will prepare you for a future with commercial airlines, aircraft maintenance firms, aircraft manufacturers, or other organizations that might have fleets of airplanes or helicopters.

Job training for an AH-64D Armament/Electrical/Avionics Systems Repairer consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and approximately 24 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, including practice in repairing electrical systems. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field.
Requires military enlistment. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications. Actual MOS assignment may depend on MOS availability. Benefits subject to change.

Most non-prior service candidates will earn between $196.26 and $254.91 per drill weekend.
